This vibrant town is full of community-centric events and outdoor activities. Parker Days is a time-honored tradition among locals featuring live music, food and drinks, rides, and more. The Parker Farmers Market features vegetable growers, western slope fruit growers, plants, and on-site cooking.
For more outdoor fun, head to O’Brien Park. Located on Mainstreet near downtown, this park includes a lighted softball field, a multipurpose field, a basketball court, two playground areas, and an outdoor pool. Walk the trails, fish, or birdwatch at Rueter Hess Reservoir, Bingham Lake Park, or Bayou Gulch Regional Park. Cherry Creek Trail is a picturesque, 40-mile route that begins in downtown Denver and connects various communities — including Parker — throughout suburban and rural Arapahoe and Douglas Counties.
Horse lovers frequent the Colorado Horse Park, which is home to many equestrian events, including top hunter/jumper, dressage, and eventing competitions.
Golf enthusiasts are in luck! Play a round at Colorado Golf Club, which is home to the 71st Senior PGA Championship, or the Jim Engh-designed Irish links-style course at The Club at Pradera. For golf combined with even more luxury features, head to the family-friendly Pinery Golf Course, which boasts 27 holes of magnificent golf, as well as an array of tennis, fitness, dining, and social amenities.
